I recently visited Yummy Bakery and, unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations. Many of the products I tried seemed like they had been frozen rather than freshly made, which affected the overall quality and taste.
Mainly tried and liked the baked goods. For the macaroon, it’s good when fresh. Place gets busy very quickly but also line moves quickly so you can just wait or go around and come back.

Fate has lead me to one of your lemon coconut cakes. It’s super refreshing, but maybe i ate too much in a single sitting that it started tasting more sour toward the end. 8.5/10 Recommend.
My son got a birthday cake mini size cake for himself. He said it’s the best cake he’s ever eaten!! The best part was the raspberry filling inside. We will for sure be back for more! Thank you

I've been here a handful of times for breakfast and they always execute it well. Good food, nice menu, an enjoyable spot especially in the summer at the tables out front.
Went to Yum bistro this morning with my mother. She had the croque madame and I had the keto breakfast. The bacon was heavenly and the eggs were delish! My mother loved her croque madame and enjoyed the fruit greatly…

“Cannot understand Terry's bad experience. This bakery is excellent from breakfast, snack items to the best desserts. Great choice of breads, health cookies, may or may not be healthy from an ingredient perspective, I couldn't say I've never looked.” — excerpt
“I had an old crumbly tasteless excuse for a pastry. It was expensive and not very good. Staff was also quit rude when I complained about it. I would not recommend it.”
Most reviewers praise Yum Bakery's baked goods as exceptional, especially the carrot cake, sourdough bread, croissants, macarons, and cinnamon buns, often calling it among the best in Calgary. The breakfast and bistro side also gets strong praise, with friendly, efficient service and a pleasant patio. However, a notable number of reviews describe inconsistent quality over time: stale or dry pastries, shrinking portion sizes, overly sweet or icing-heavy cakes, and occasional issues like undercooked pies or foreign objects in cakes. Pricing is frequently called high, with some feeling it's not always justified. Customer service is mostly described as warm and accommodating, though several reviewers report rude or dismissive staff and poor handling of complaints. Overall, most describe a beloved neighborhood bakery with excellent core products, tempered by occasional lapses in freshness, consistency, and service.
